Practice Description
Mr. Aide has been an attorney in the area of Intellectual Property since 1992 with the international law firm of Baker & McKenzie. From 1992 until 1998, Mr. Aide practiced in Baker & McKenzie’s Toronto office. From 1999 until July 2003, he continued his practice with Baker & McKenzie’s office in Frankfurt. In 2002, he became a Partner in the Firm’s German and Austrian offices. Mr. Aide returned to Baker & McKenzie’s Toronto office in 2003 in a partnership capacity with the Intellectual Property group. Mr. Aide specializes in non-contentious Intellectual Property, including Canadian prosecutions and oppositions, global trademark portfolio management, worldwide corporate branding availability, licensing and advising on domain name and Internet matters. He also has a strong focus upon running anti-counterfeiting programs for clientsinternationally , as well as providing litigation support for anti-counterfeiting actions concducted locally in Canada.
