The Canadian Anti-Counterfeiting Network (CACN) is a coalition of individuals, companies, firms and associations that have joined together in the fight against product counterfeiting and copyright piracy in Canada and internationally. CACN is committed to protecting the privacy of its members and the visitors to its website.
CACN Membership Information
Upon joining, members are asked to provide information regarding the types of anti-counterfeiting activities they or their organizations are involved in, as well as contact details for the company representatives listed on the membership form.
If membership information provided to CACN includes personal information as defined in applicable laws, you consent to CACN’s collection, use and disclosure of such personal information for the purposes of membership administration and promotion.
CACN may use personal information in aggregate form for statistical analysis, to recruit new members and/or for lobbying purposes. We may disclose personal information in aggregate form to third parties such as sponsors, government representatives, advertisers or for auditing purposes.
When you provide personal information to CACN, such information is stored electronically on secured servers in Mississauga, Ontario. CACN takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss and unauthorized use, and to delete, destroy or make anonymous personal information when it is no longer required for its intended purposes. CACN cannot, however, guarantee that loss or unauthorized use will never occur (e.g. that someone will not overcome our security measures), and makes no representations or warranties to this effect.
