The Steering Committee advises the Chair, provides leadership and develops and approves work plans and strategies to achieve the objectives of CACN.
It also oversees, guides and directs the work of standing committees in accordance with those objectives.
The Steering Committee has the capacity to delegate and to establish ad hoc committees, to make strategic decisions on important issues, as well as to ensure follow-up with respect to those issues.
